"Cosmic Trends"
I really needed to put my nose in a book and
forget the outside world for a bit, or maybe I
should say the inside world. The energy has been
intense the last few days, or should I say the
last week. I needed to get lost in the world of
words, and get my radar off the feel of the
current celestial events. Usually, I'm able to
catch myself when the mood swings come that are
created by planetary and celestial energy. This
intensity is caused by five planets transiting
through Scorpio, a quarter Moon in Leo, the
Scorpio planets, and the upcoming Uranus
station.
In the nick of time," Cosmic Trends", a book by astrologer Philip Brown, published recently by Llewellyn, arrived in the mail. If you need a book to get you out of the doldrums this is the one.
Cosmic Trends is a fantastic astrology book, informative and entertaining. During my many years as an astrologer, I've read thousands of books, and many of them can be rather dry, but this book is a well written, page-turner. You don't have to know anything about astrology to enjoy the book, but as you read, you'll learn a lot of astrology.
Cosmic Trends is about trends past and present, and Philip gives good examples of how these trends are related to the planets. At the end of each section, he gives a profile of a famous person as an illustration of the trend. For instance, his profile on Bob Dylan fits the image of the power of Pluto.
I've only finished three chapters, when I finish the book, I'll post more. Click here to read more about Philip Brown.
